The artist David Jackson working on the Peregrin Falcon.
Looking at a piece of stone David sees the hidden sculpture. With no model just a few pencil marks he starts working on the stone and the bird appears telling its story.

The Tufted Puffin Gallery is nestled amongst the trees of Canary Meadows Farm on Salt Spring Island where nature inspires David Jackson to create unique and one of a kind pieces of art. The mediums of his artistic expression are as many fold as David's talents – the gallery shows his works in wood, soapstone, clay, bronze and on canvas.

On any given day you may see David's wife Sophia tending to her beautiful garden or see both of them taking care of the deer, ducks, geese, eagles, raven and a vast variety of songbirds as well as bunny rabbits and squirrels or racoons rubbing shoulder with the cat all dropping by for food knowing they are welcome in a safe haven.
